High-density polyurethane foam is a miracle compound for residential homeowners, commercial contractors, and local governments alike—it makes it possible to lift and stabilize (e.g. repair) sinking concrete instead of the far more costly, time-consuming option of total replacement.
Because the polyurethane foam used at Foamworx is an expanding, hydrophobic compound, it is the perfect repair material for projects in hard-to-access, moisture-laden environments (e.g. foundations, sewer systems, pool decks, etc.).
To apply the foam, Foamworx technicians drill ⅝” injection ports in whatever structure requires repair (a concrete slab, for example). When the ports are drilled, the high-density polyurethane is injected under high pressure, allowing the foam to flow into (and expand in) voids as small as 1/32”.
When the injection process is complete, the foam typically cures in about 15 minutes. This rapid cure time means most projects can be started and finished within the same workday.
